Rank outsider of the eight horse heat at 14/1, Our Manekineko shrugged aside such considerations with victory in the iRadio Race Night D'Arcy Derby Rated Race under Joseph O'Brien.
James Nash was at Aintree for Your Busy's run today in the Topham but in his absence Our Manekineko responded well for pressure in the straight. At the line he was a head up on Captain Cullen
O'Brien reported: "James told me he worked brilliantly during the week – the best he ever worked and he was right.
"It was a carbon copy of a win I had on him here before. He had the same draw and I got into the same position early.
"He found plenty for me."
This was a fourth course and distance win for Our Manekineko and he's possibly been reinvigorated by a spell hurdling in recent times. (AM & EM)
