There was a double on the card at Dundalk for John Feane, as he added to his first race gains with Cappadocia as Miracle Ninetynine landed division one of the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap.
Ronan Whelan rode the first Feane scorer, Cappadocia, but it was Colin Keane that was in the plate on top-weight and joint-favourite, Miracle Ninetynine.
With a tongue-strap deployed for the initial occasion, Miracle Ninetynine came from a long way back but he was really smooth with his finishing effort down the inner in the straight, and he got there to lead in the final hundred yards, beating Reddot Express by three parts of a length.
"They went so quick that it suited him, and everything fell into his lap. I don't think it was the greatest race," commented Feane.
