14 and counting for The Fonze
The Fonze has been an amazing horse for connections but none were present to see the Desert Sun gelding record his fourteenth win in the Adare Festival Weekend Hurdle at Limerick.
Gaining his fourth win under Shay Barry, the nine-year-old led between the last two and went on to prevail by a length and a quarter over Final Day
He then survived a steward's enquiry after squeezing the placed horses for room before the last. Eoin Doyle trains the 9/4 winner for owner Jamie Dunphy and all were apparently on holiday.
