Ballytrim continues Mullins/Walsh's winning spree

Ballytrim was the first horse beaten and was never going anywhere - however he kept grinding it out.

We ran him back too quick early in the season and that's probably how he arrived at his handicap mark. He loves that ground and he stays and jumps well. He could be an Irish National horse or a Newbury Hennessy horse next season.

Solwhit wins The Rabobank Champion Hurdle

He's definitely the best horse I've ever trained. Davy [Russell] wanted something to aim at so he dropped him back and I didn't really feel too confident about it but he really does love to battle. Next year the Cheltenham Champion Hurdle is the obvious target. We'll give him a break now. I've never won a champion hurdle before so I'm not too sure as to what route to go but he'll more than likely stay at home before he heads for Cheltenham.

Mikael D'Haguenet impresses at Punchestown

Cousin Vinny had been working out of his skin at home this week and he ran the race of his life to finish 2nd and it just goes to show you how good Mikael D'Haguenet is. Mikael came out of his race at Cheltenham very well, he has size and he has scope and he'll go chasing next season actually both horses will go chasing next season I don't see a future for them over hurdles. Mikael D'Haguenet will be put away now and Cousin Vinny may go for another race if we can find a suitable conditions hurdle race for him.

thankfully the error was rectified and we definitely ended up in the right race as Mikael D'Haguenet was very impressive in the previous race!

Mullins records 50th winner of the season

We tried to sell her 3 times but couldn't. We always thought a lot of her and we'll go novice hurdling with her next year. We'll only sell her if we get a fairly good offer.
