Jockeys Rachael Blackmore, David Mullins and Mark Walsh all had to be stood down after suffering falls on the penultimate day of the Punchestown Festival.
Walsh and Mullins were injured during the EMS Copiers Novice Handicap Chase, with the Mullins-ridden Pravalaguna suffering a heavy fall four fences from the finish — bringing down Walsh on board Scoir Mear
In the following Hanlon Concrete Irish EBF Glencarraig Lady Francis Flood Mares Handicap Chase, Blackmore — who has enjoyed a fantastic season having ridden 90 winners — appeared to be in with every chance of adding to her tally on Ellie Mac when she fell at the second-last.
Dr Jennifer Pugh, chief medical officer for the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, said: “Rachael Blackmore is fully conscious and has been taken to hospital as precaution for observation.
“Mark Walsh has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken right tibia.
“David Mullins has been stood down as he is sore following his fall.”
Mullins is thought to have suffered a shoulder injury.
Walsh missed two winners as a result of his injury including Buveur D'Air in the featured Betdaq Punchestown Champion Hurdle.
