< Scotsirish launched his new career in terrific style with a commanding display in the New Banks Course Risk Of Thunder Chase at Punchestown.

Willie' Mullins' classy 10-year-old was sent off the 9-10 favourite on his introduction to cross-country racing and took the unique demands in his stride in the hands of the trainer's son Patrick.

Scotsirish was always travelling smoothly before taking it up going to the final fence, where closest rival Footy Facts made a hash of it. It was left to Tally Em Up to fill second spot, 14 lengths in arrears.

Mullins doubled up when 6-4 favourite Raptor caught long-time leader Cadogan at the last and forged three and three-quarter lengths clear under Paul Townend in the Punchestown For Value Beginners Chase.< Dariak returned from a three-year lay-off at Galway last month and showed the benefit of that run to win the Ladbrokes Supporting Irish Sports Hurdle.

Tom Foley's grey (4-1) shared pacesetting duties with Beau Michael and after shaking off his rival, ran on resolutely for Davy Condon to hold favourite See U Bob by two lengths.< Corbally Ghost nearly threw away the Ireland v England Stable Staff Soccer International Tonight Maiden Hurdle with a bad error at the last, but Paul Carberry managed to recover.

Noel Meade's grey (5-2) hampered favourite Midnight Game as he staggered to the left, and after a duel through the closing stages he fought back well to take the race by half a length.

Oliver Brady's One Cool Shabra (9-4 joint-favourite) led all the way under claimer Ger Fox to take the Ballymore GAA Christmas Fair & Family Fun Day 3-Y-O Hurdle by seven lengths.

Brady and Fox then completed a double with Maccas Lad (5-1) in the Stars Of Tomorrow (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race.

Colm Murphy's seven-year-old The Hard Hat (8-1) responded well for pressure to lead on the run-in for a length victory under Robbie Power in the 10euro Admission Handicap Chase.
