Zoffany gets job done
The Aidan O’Brien trained Zoffany put his disappointing run at Royal Ascot behind him when he came home in front of the Golden Fleece Stakes in the hands of Seamie Heffernan.
The Dansili colt was ridden along by Heffernan from over a furlong and half out.
The pair kept on strongly inside the final furlong to lead close home and deny Stentorian and Fran Berry by two lengths.
Winning jockey Heffernan said afterwards: “He’s a good horse. He was a bit disappointing at Royal Ascot but he learned a lot from it.”
“I think he’d stay a mile no problem.”
