Mighty Whitey produced a game front-running performance to land the spoils in the ten furlong claimer at Sligo.
Billy Lee was keen to get to the front on the 16/1 shot and he had his rivals at work turning for home.
The Noel Kelly-trained gelding stayed on strongly down the straight to record a two-and-a-quarter length success.
Last year's winner Gra Geal Mo Chroi came through to chase the winner without ever looking like pegging him back.
It was a third course success for Mighty Whitey after a bumper and maiden hurdle success at the track.
"He likes it better here than anywhere else," said Kelly afterwards.
"The wee bit of cut in ground helped as he was a bit sore after Downpatrick last time.
"A mile-and-two and going that bit faster helped him settle better today. We'll probably keep him to the Flat for the moment. He definitely needs a stiff course over a mile-and-two."
The third-placed Via Del Corso was claimed for €5,000 by Galway trainer David Kelly.
