Recently married to long-time partner, Eimear, Conor Hoban was on the mark aboard Whatharm in the BetVictor Bet 5 Get 30 Offer Handicap at Dundalk.
Backed from 7/1 into 11/2, Whatharm followed up his course win from a month back when scoring by a length and a half.
Down to seven furlongs proved no inconvenience to Whatharm, in a race where gambled-on joint 2nd favourite, La Dernier Fois (9s into 4s) finished seventh.
"He's a lovely big horse. It's great for Brendan and Bridie Cooney who have been great loyal owners,” said successful handler Pat Flynn.
“They always have a few horses with us. They bred the horse as well and have a few more nice ones with me.
“He's a big horse and I think we've found his right trip tonight. He's a bit keen over a mile.”
The Stewards fined Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, €65 for failing to fit cheek pieces to Lady In Lavender prior to entering the parade ring.
