It could well have been 'curtains' for Ttebbob (owner David Bobbett's surname spelled backwards) in the Sunday Market At Naas Racecourse Maiden Hurdle after being hampered by the fall of Grand Partner However that was at a relatively early stage of the three mile contest and he had plenty of time to recover and in the end score impressively under Barry Geraghty.

Robbie Power looked like he'd delivered Shield with perfect timing from the second last.

However the eye was quickly drawn to Barry Geraghty on the outer going to the last aboard Ttebob.

What the hooded five-year-old Milan gelding produced on the run-in marks him down as a good prospect as he pulled four lengths clear of Shield.

The favourite, Chute Hall came home three lengths further back in third. He is of course trained by Tom Cooper.

His attentions were likely on son Bryan though, after he got a fall early on the final circuit from Allied Victory He was reported okay in the aftermath but he didn't take the ride on Folsom Blue in the Leinster National.

Meanwhile Jessica Harrington said of her winner, Ttebob: "He was a little unlucky in Punchestown as he wasn't suited by the sharp track and he didn't settle.

"He settled much better today and I knew he'd be suited by going up to three miles." (AM & EM)
