Treble for fantastic Fran
Fran Berry continued his terrific form at Dundalk when notching a treble aboard Dalkan in the colts and geldings maiden.
Having partnered the last four winners at the previous meeting Berry made it seven from eight rides on the sand when getting home on the Aga Khan colt.
The son of Sinndar showed a great attitude having been denied a run a furlong-and-a-half out.
He burst through in the closing stages to get up and beat 11/10 favourite September Morn by a neck.
It was also a double on the night for trainer Michael Halford, his first for the Aga Khan, and he said:
"He's very genuine and tough. When he went to get out he got closed off and his experience stood to him.
"He's improving with every run. He loves the surface and stays well. There are no firm plans for him. He has run four times and that might be enough this year.
"I imagine with time he'll get plenty further as he's stoutly bred."
Berry had struck half an hour earlier on the Halford-trained Daliyra while he also took the opener on the Jim Ryan-trained Qeyaada
