Evens from 6/4 on track, and bigger earlier, The Chapel Field followed up his Fairyhouse success from Tuesday when triumphing in the Holycross Handicap Hurdle at Thurles.
Dropping back in trip to this two miles, proved no problem for the Beneficial gelding, under a mandatory five pound penalty, again with Trevor Ryan in the plate.
Owned and bred by William Burn, and trained by Willie Austin, the successful six-year-old was in control of the 80 to 95 contest from some way out.
To his credit 33/1 shot Western Doyen closed down well on the run-in, but he was never going to quite get there, and three parts of a length split them.
"He's a nice horse going forward. I'll give him a bit of a break now and run him near enough to Christmas time next. We were a bit hard on him but he won so easily the last day we said we'd run him again and there aren't too many 0-95s coming up," said Austin.
"If he can win a few more of them we'll leave him at it, and I'd imagine he won't jump a fence this season. He was fresh enough after 2m4f the last day and I'd say he'll get further again."
