The Women's Irish Network For Racing Lady Riders Handicap was won by 14/1 chance The Names Jock under Maxine O’Sullivan.
Ciara Flynn set steady fractions on Distant Chimes as O’Sullivan bided her time on the rail in mid-division. A lovely gap opened for the winner between horses early in the straight when Distant Chimes edged right and The Names Jock threw down his challenge from over a furlong out. Leading inside the final furlong, the John Kiely-trained gelding kept on well to beat Distant Chimes and the running-on Dances With Stars by half a length and the same.
It was the six-year-old’s fourth win on the Flat to go with one over hurdles.
“The race couldn’t have gone better, we had a lovely position all the way through and got a lovely split turning in," said O'Sullivan.
“To be honest I was actually there too soon as he’s very lairy in front. He’s a lovely horse and hopefully they will have a good summer with him."
