Swan keeps up good record
Glenstal Abbey justified favourtism in the novice chase at Listowel with a convincing performance. Kotkidy soon opened up a healthy advantage in front but crashed out at the sixth last.
Glenstal Abbey took over in front under David Casey and the 5/2 favourite kicked clear before the last to settle matters.
The Charlie Swan-trained gelding had five-lengths to spare over Turf War at the line.
"This race has been very lucky for me and I think it's the fifth time I've won it," revealed Swan.
"He was lucky enough with the horse falling in front. He's a grand horse. I don't know how good that race was but he'll go for another novice now at Tipperary or Clonmel."
