Summer Snow was sent off 3/1 favourite (from 8s this morning) on stable debut in the Thomastown Handicap and scored readily in the hands of Colin Keane.
The grey was travelling noticeably well behind the leaders early in the straight and Keane took a pull before sending her to the front in the final furlong and the daughter of El Kabeir needed minimal assistance to beat Adhuil by two and three quarter lengths.
A winner at Cork for Ross O'Sullivan last year, P A Kelly's four-year-old was starting off here for Michael O'Callaghan.
"She travelled through the race nicely, " said Keane.
“Michael thought that she had been working nicely at home and if she brought that she would be very competitive.
“She’s in again at Naas on Monday so he’ll probably get her out again soon.”
