Strike Action landed a one-two for David Wachman as she saw off stable companion Feathers And Bows by three parts of a length in the six furlong three-year-old maiden at Dundalk.
Wayne Lordan got a great tune from the daughter of Pivotal down the outside of the track and the 11/4 favourite forged on best to score. Feathers And Bows was returned at 10/1 with Billy Lee in the saddle. An Cat Dubh came in third for Willie McCreery and Joseph O’Brien at 7/2.
“She was always going to win her maiden. The ground is the key. We were always waiting for good ground so had to come here,” David Wachman said.
Wachman carried a 29% record in three-year-old maidens at Dundalk this season into today’s contest – two winners from seven runners.
In addition Wayne Lordan and David Wachman have been operating at a 42% strike-rate this season at Dundalk when teaming up (five winners from 12 rides) before today.
