Davy Russell produced Tinos Tank after the last to reel in Burndown and land Fairyhouse's two and a half mile maiden hurdle.

Burndown and Redrobin had fought a protracted battle with Burndown jumping the last just in front.

However, Tinos Tank had closed into third and put in a slick jump at the final flight to land full of running. She was ridden on the run-in and collared Burndown in the closing stages to score by three parts of a length.

Tinos Tank was the 11/8 favourite while Burndown was well backed from 10/1 to 6/1. Redrobin (12/1) came in a further four lengths back in third.

Davy Russell said: “He was keen going to the start and on his way to the first but then raced lazily. It was only after the last when I thought I would get there. He definitely wants softer ground.”

Tinos Tank was formerly trained in England before returning off an absence of more than a year and a half when taking second for Pat Doyle in a Listowel maiden hurdle last month.
