Roseska doubles up for Darcy
The opening Kilkenny 3YO Hurdle saw Sunday's Clonmel winner Roseska gamely see off the challenge of Chebona Bula to win by the narrowest of margins.
A fourth winner in a week for jockey Mike Darcy, Roseska made virtually all and needed to battle on the run-in to narrowly deny the runner-up.
Afterwards winning trainer Kevin O'Donnell reported “Roseska took her Clonmel penalty well and battled well. She is better on better ground and may have one more run before having a break.”
The win was a measure of compensation for O'Donnell who lost Graceful Grainne (fractured a hind leg) in yesterday's bumper.
