Rogers/Shanahan score at Sligo
The Foley’s Bar & Off Licence Sligo Handicap saw a game winner in the Harry Rogers trained Tin Town Boy after he ran out a four length winner in the hands of Pat Shanahan.
Shanahan raced the Danehill Dancer gelding in rear before making progress to challenge on the inside rail approaching the straight and kept on well to lead from over one furlong out for a four length win over Master Marvel
“Pat knows this lad very well and he made one move and that was it,"said a relieved Rogers.
“He probably should have won before now this season but it’s great he won today for the owners the Nap Racing Syndicate who are from Athlone.”
