Connections of the Richard O'Brien trained Dean Street Doll may now cast their eyes to a possible Irish 1,000 Guineas bid following the filly's win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden at Limerick today.
The daughter of Oasis Dream today made a winning seasonal reappearance, on her second career start, when quickening smartly, under jockey Colin Keane, in the closing stages for a three parts of a length win over Silk Forest
Afterwards trainer O'Brien stated "she has a 1,000 Guineas entry and I'm not sure we'd want to be bothering with that but Clive Washborn (owner) is a big sportsman and is a real character and he may want to take advantage of the entry and we'll let him decide."
"She is a lovely filly and Colin was pleased with her. It means a lot as the Clive is English based and has plenty horses over and I'm really glad we have had a bit of luck as we haven't really had any lately.
"She is inclined to over-race a little and Colin said to leave her at that trip for now.
"My daughter said to me on the way in 'Dad you haven't had a winner in ages' so that was was badly needed!”
