Chutzpal a facile winner on handicap debut at Bellewstown on Wednesday, got into the second split of the visitwexford.ie Handicap Hurdle as first reserve and duly gained his second win in three days.
The 1/2 favourite (from 8/11 before the off) was completing a mixed hat-trick after a win on the level at Killarney last month. His 7lb mandatory penalty was negated by Ethan O'Sullivan's claim and the pair led from before the second flight of hurdles to defeat Bayou Belle by a snug four lengths.
It was a third career success for Waterford native O'Sullivan.
Henry De Bromhead, who trains the winner for Pimlico Racing and Robert Dooly, said: "I'm really happy with that. We took a bit of a punt bringing him back, but he is going to get a fair hike after Wednesday and he seemed in great form. He got 16lb for Wednesday which was probably fair.
"I'm delighted for his owners, we've already had a lot of fun with him. We will give him a little break now, I'm not used to running them that quick.
"He's got loads of options and could go back on the Flat. We'll back off him for a couple of weeks as he's been busy. I'm delighted for Ethan as well, he gave him a great ride."
