O'Neill seen to good effect on Colour
Colour Of Love (10/1) appreciated a step up to seven furlongs on her handicap debut when storming home late under Kieran O'Neill to take the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Package Nursery.
The Le Vie Dei Colori filly was in rear entering the home straight but, after being switched right to get a clear run, stayed on really well to collar Emperor Of The Sun in the closing stages to score by a neck.
“Kieran gave her a great ride and is a really underused apprentice. She still hasn't quite cottoned on to racing yet, and didn't handle the bends or as the American's would say didn't corner that well! This filly should be suited by a mile and good ground next year,” said trainer Willie McCreery.
