Westport Cove (10/11f) made most in the concluding bumper to give Willie Mullins a double on the card.
The favourite picked up the lead for Patrick Mullins after the first flight in this qualified riders' maiden hurdle and, despite not putting in his best jumps at the last three hurdles, was always holding Diamboy Des Carres who threatened after two out.
Westport Cove beat the 11/8 runner-up by a length and a-quarter with Ankud nine lengths adrift in third at 13/2.
Willie Mullins said: "It was a very good performance, his jumping was very slick and he jumped like a handicapper. I think he was a lot more settled and is maturing.Â
"We just have to go up in grade now - he is sharp enough for two miles but I have no problem going further either. We'll look for something around Christmas maybe."
Mullins took the opener with impressive chasing debutant Klassical Dream (1/4f).
