Moon Over Germany led home a 1, 2 for Henry de Bromhead in the feature at Ballinrobe this evening, the Hollymount Nursing Home Chase.
A good winner of a Grade 3 at the Aintree Grand National Festival in April, the Philip Reynolds owned eight-year-old since finished fourth in another competitive contest at the Punchestown Festival.
Sent off the 15/8 favourite this evening, the chestnut victor was settled behind the leaders by Rachael Blackmore, as Listen Dear attempted to make all.
He improved to lead from the fifth last and while he was pressed by stable mate Ordinary World from two out, he kept on best on the run-in, going on to score by four and three parts of a length.
The runner-up was returned at 7/2 under Sean Flanagan, while The West's Awake was a further twenty-nine lengths away in third.
"He done that lovely," said Blackmore.
"When he got going with his jumping he got into a lovely rhythm.
"He was fit and he was well and it looked like a good start to the campaign. He's progressing the whole time."
