Apache Outlaw was all the rage in the six furlong handicap at Dundalk and justified good support with a convincing win.

The Ado McGuinness-trained gelding was backed from 9/2 this morning and went off an 11/10 shot.

Colin Keane produced the Churchill gelding to lead over a furlong from home and he stayed on well in the closing stages to beat stablemate Dontspoilasale by three-parts-of-a-length.

It was a third course success for Apache Outlaw and McGuinness said:- "He has improved this horse. I suppose he is not bred to sprint, but I think he is an out and out sprinter off a good fast pace.

"It was a good race and I don't know where the money came from, maybe it was the Colin Keane factor. I don't know, but he's not a bad horse.

"It is great for the lads. I'm delighted for them as they are great owners.

"The second ran a cracker, he got 10lb for winning the last day and he has upped his game.

"I'd say with Apache Outlaw we might just put him to bed for a while. We might come back for the All-Weather Finals in Newcastle and look at a race pre-race. He has to get a break at some stage."
