Just the six horses went to post for the rated novice chase in Fairyhouse but three of them fought out a protracted battle before Mill Quest found most.
At the third last Mill Quest on the inner, Uisce Beatha in the centre and R'evelyn Pleasure on the outer disputed the lead.
All three had every chance as they came off the bridle after the next but it was R'evelyn Pleasure who cracked first.
Mill Quest led narrowly at the last from Uisce Beatha who was less than fluent. Mill Quest then galloped on strongly to come in by three and three quarter lengths at 14/1 with Davy Russell in the plate.
Uisce Beatha had to settle for second at 9/2.
Gordon Elliott said: “Davy gave her a great ride. She was an outsider and hadn’t shown much form this year but bounced back great today.
“She won four for us last year, and has been covered by Mount Nelson.”
Davy Russell said: "She has given us a lot of fun. Obviously Jack (Kennedy) won on her a couple of times and I won on her a couple of times.
"She's good and brave and obviously Gordon has done a marvellous job with her."
This gave Elliott an across-the-card double as Sassy Yet Classy also scored in Cork,
