Dadoozdart completed a hat-trick of consecutive wins when successfully stepping into Stakes company at Limerick today as the Noel Meade trained colt proved the game winner of the Listed Martin Molony Stakes, under jockey Chris Hayes.
The son of Dawn Approach made a winning debut in an early-season juvenile maiden over five furlongs at Naas in April 2018 and today maintained progression to follow up wins at Naas in May and in the E100,000 Ulster Derby at Down Royal in June.
Jockey Hayes was prominent for all of today's race and in the end rallied well in the closing stages to eventually beat Riven Light by a length and a half.
Meade was at Fairyhouse and afterwards Hayes stated “it was very straightforward. I spoke to Noel last night and he said not to have any worries about the ground or his fitness. He raced a little lazily in the Ulster Derby so he said to get him to jump and to get up and travel as close as we could in our comfort zone.
“He caught me off guard when I gave him a squeeze to go with Colin (Keane, on Nickajack Cave turning in as he quickened and he got there too soon. He battled well and is a nice horse.
“It is testing ground, he is game and genuine and that's what counted.”
