Maymine landed a gamble in the www.navanracecourse.ie Maiden, scoring under Billy Lee for Richard O'Brien.
A good second on debut at Naas earlier this month, the daughter of Mayson was available at 8s last night, opening on-course at 13/2 before going off a 3/1 chance.
Drawn on the outside in stall 16, she raced behind the leaders, and was pushed along two furlongs out.
She was ridden to challenge from the furlong pole and had a good battle with Hawaam from there, getting on top close home to score by a half a length.
Chris Hayes was aboard the runner-up for Kevin Prendergast, and that one also came in for some market support, going from 9s to 13/2 on-course.
The Sheila Lavery trained Encantador (14/1) was another two and a quarter lengths back in third under Ronan Whelan, while the 2/1 favourite Luzum finished fourth with Declan McDonagh aboard for Dermot Weld.
O'Brien said afterwards: "We're delighted with her. She came forward from her first run and I'm very grateful to have her.
"Thanks to Paul and Gary Kavanagh and Paul's wife Theresa (owners).
"I was delighted with the ride Billy gave her. He kept things simple. I think she's quite a nice filly.
"She'll go for a three-year-old fillies sprint at Naas on May 7th (Listed Polonia Stakes) all things being equal."
