The 3/1 favourite Keke came from off the pace to land the SBK Joe McGrath Premier Handicap under Billy Lee.

Fourth in the Bold Lad Handicap at headquarters earlier this month having won his previous three starts, the Dandy Man four-year-old began to pick up inside the final quarter-mile and weaved his way through to lead inside the final 150 yards.

From there the winner powered away to beat Harry's Hill by a decisive three and-three-quarter-lengths.

Trainer Eddie Lynam remarked: “He's just progressed all season and won well today. The handicapper will have his say now but to win four handicaps in a year is pretty cool.

“He'll go on his holidays now as the good handicaps are over. You've got the likes of Guineas weekend, Derby weekend, the Bold Lad and this race.

“You'd try and save you mark for the better handicaps and hope he can do it.

“He came to me from the breeze-ups and he couldn't run a message. He learned gradually as a three-year-old, and won a maiden, but I told the owner to hold on to him and thankfully he's worked out lucky.

“Billy would put years on you watching him but he knows what he's doing! He just won a bit far today.”
