He may have only had two to beat but Without Limites did it in style under Finny Maguire in the concluding Family Saturday At The Festival INH Flat Race at Punchestown.
Second at Leopardstown 31 days back, the successful grey was sent off at odds of 4/7 to show the benefit of his experience over his couple of first time out opponents.
There was no hiding place in this bumper, Maguire setting out his stall from the front on Liz Doyle's runner from the start.
The Goliath Syndicate-owned Martaline gelding came back to his pursuers before halfway but he bounded away again in the final quarter mile to oblige by twelve lengths over Cadeau Du Bresil
They left Veronica's Napkin fifty five lengths behind.
"He's improved a good notch from Leopardstown. We were afraid there would be no gallop with just three runners so we decided the best thing was to go on," disclosed Miss Doyle.
"Finny said it felt like he was doing a hack canter which is a good sign. He may run again this season but whether that is at Cheltenham or not, I don't know.
"We'll have to have a think about it. I don't think Cheltenham is the best place to go with a four-year-old, although this horse is a bit more robust than Le Vent d'Antan.
"I bought him as a yearling in France, he's by the same sire as d'Antan and is a replacement for the Goliath Syndicate."
