Killiney Court gave handler Henry de Bromhead a Tipperary double when getting the better of King's Wharf at the end of the two and a half mile novice chase.

Heavily-backed Kilcarry Bridge (6/1 from 14s in the morning) gave it a good go from the front but was swamped after the second last by King's Wharf and Killiney Court.

The pair jumped the last in unison with King's Wharf leading narrowly on the run-in. However, Killiney Court stayed on best close home to get up by half a length with Mikey Fogarty in the plate.

He went off the 2/1 favourite, on this his first start for de Bromhead having been trained by the recently retired Colm Murphy.

King's Wharf was the 9/4 second best in the market.

Kilcarry Bridge came in third, beaten seven and a half lengths by the winner. Kildunne fell at the last when he looked beaten in fourth.

Henry de Bromhead said: "I've had little to do with him (Killiney Court) and the win is more down to Colm Murphy than me. Martin (Bambrick) very kindly sent me the horse when Colm retired and I'm delighted to get him.

"Mikey gave him a super ride and he jumped well. There's a 123-rated chase at Cork on October 16 for him next so hopefully he'll still be qualified for that."

This was Mikey Fogarty's first ride for De Bromhead.
