Keanes on the scoreboard
Teenager Colin Keane recorded his second career winner when steering top weight No Trimmings for his father, trainer Ger Keane, to win the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap at Naas this evening.
Keane, who previous winner was also on No Trimmings at Dundalk last December, moved the five year old mare to the front a furlong out before staying on well to defeat Naked Cowboy
Afterwards Keane Snr stated “No Trimmings has been consistent this year and she’s back to her best. She’ll probably get a hike in the weights now and might go for a similar race back here in the August Bank Holiday weekend. Galway is probably not her track though. That’s Colin second winner and I’m delighted for him.”
