Dillon Maxwell registered an eighth career success, and his fifth this term, when steering the Mark Fagan trained Kaletto to win the M2 Construction (Mares) Maiden Hurdle at Wexford today.

The daughter of Kalanisi was lucky to escape a second last flight blunder, when leading, but Maxwell sat tight and kept the six year old going as the pair recorded a length win over My First Symphony

Fagan wasn't present and afterwards jockey Maxwell said “she made a bad mistake at the second last but I always think she had it and was always cruising best of them.

“Mark was saying she was in serious form at home and I school her a bit during the week. She was out with a stone bruise at Sligo the last day but luckily today suited her.”
