Willie McCreery enjoyed his third winner of the week as Jungle Jane (7/1) made all up the stands’ side rail to readily land the Tipperary Handicap by three and a half lengths from the topweight Primo Uomo (10/1). Lincoln (14/1) just denied the 18/5 favourite King Of Stars of third place.
The winner was very smartly away and, even though she jinked towards the rail inside the final furlong, she went away to gain a second career success. She was a first time out maiden winner at Dundalk in March 2018 but has been lightly-raced since then.
Winning trainer Willie McCreery commented: "She's an out and out five furlong filly and Billy gave her a great ride; he said he'd come up the stands' side. That's where the better ground is and when it's any way soft it is often quicker ground along the stands' side.
"She is in the Rockingham and we'll keep going and try to nab some black-type at the end of the year to go breeding. She is a grand, tough, hardy little filly.
"She did that (jinked) one day at Dundalk and lost about two lengths but she's not stupid and knows where she comes in and out!"
