Gaillimh A Run (11/4) made it two wins from four bumper starts in the concluding contest for mares.
A winner at Thurles before Christmas, she was held up in touch by John Gleeson and turned for home in fourth. Odds-on favourite Fancy Girl was soon struggling to pick up as the winner moved second two furlongs out and went in pursuit of Brianna Lily She collared that one racing to the final 100 yards and kept on well to score by three parts of a length.
Teenager Gleeson has a big ride to look forward to on Wednesday when partnering the unbeaten A Dream To Share in the Champion Bumper.
Winning trainer John Queally said: “She’s tough and she has a bit of pace as well.
“I’d say we will be looking at Aintree for the Graded mares bumper. We said if she won today we would go there and we have a month before then as well.
“We were going to go jumping with her after she won in Thurles but I decided it was a bit late in the season and it’s all worked out.”
