Barry Geraghty made his visit to Downpatrick for the ride on Jetson worthwhile when the Milan gelding justified 8/11 favouritism in the Autumn Beginners Chase.
It wasn't without scares for supporters of Jessica Harrington's charge though, as he's not the biggest and he appeared to struggle out of the ground at some of his fences, notably at the fourth last.
However Geraghty was confident away from the last and that assuredness was well-justified as Jetson went on to beat Royal Sam by four and a half lengths.
Two of Jetson's main rivals came to grief, Latin Connection unseating at the first and Dont Back Down fell in the latter stages.
Geraghty said: "He did it well and he jumped nicely enough. He just missed the fourth last. He did as much as he had to do.
"We were worried about the ground but he handled it. He's a horse that can still go places on good ground." (MG & EM)
