The Ken Condon trained Mojita landed a gamble as she easily got the better of the 10/11 favourite Cloudracer to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race under Shane Foley.
Having opened as big as 5/2 in a place this morning, the 4yo daughter of Montjeu opened on track at 6/4 and she was then backed into Even money at the off.
Cloudracer on the other hand opened this morning as short as 1/2 but drifted and opened on track at 4/6 before being returned the 10/11 favourite.
She led the field early on but Mojita took over after a couple of furlongs.
Mojita then made the rest of the running and asserted under pressure from a furlong and a half out, going on to score by a comfortable three and three parts of a length.
The less experience Cloudracer, who was having just her third start and first as a 3yo, had to settle for second under Pat Smullen for Dermot Weld.
The winner, who has been a model of consistency, was having her sixteenth career start this evening and had just one win to her name, that coming in Killarney last August where she won her maiden.
She has however been placed on seven ocassions.
Winning rider Shane Foley said afterwards: "She enjoyed being out in front and was having a good look. She kept at it well."
