Galileo shows her liking for Galway again
Noble Galileo a course and distance winner, of a maiden here at the Festival, and second here at the last meeting, showed her liking for Ballybrit when landing the Renvyle House Hotel Handicap under Fran Berry.
Owned and bred by Christy Maye, the John Oxx-trained 8/1 shot led on the descent into the dip and she battled really gamely to prevail by three parts of a length from English-raider, Citizenship
Strongly-supported favourite, Mosstown (9/4 into 6/4 on course) disappointed badly beating only two home.
Rider Johnny Murtagh reported that Mosstown hung left in running whilst the vet reported that he was blowing hard post race.
