Further Joy for Conways/Dreaper/Lynch
Pat and Tilly Conway, who have seen their colours carried to some major successes down through the years, followed up their recent big win in the Troytown Chase with Notre Pere, when Dallaglio got the better of Saddler's Native by a length in the Bobbyjo Bistro Handicap Hurdle.
Jim Dreaper does the training of this Andrew Lynch ridden 8/1 winner and he said: "This fellow had a wind op since his last run as he wasn't getting home. This wasn't a great race but at least he got home."
Dreaper also had news of his aforementioned stable star: "Notre Pere got put up ten pounds for winning the Troytown which was fair enough. We'll decide between the Welsh National and the Lexus at Christmas. If Alan King's horse, Halcon Genelardais were to run, it would help to put our lad in at a better weight at Chepstow."
In other news from the famous jumping family, Jim's son, Tom, a jockey who has been based cross-channel, will now ply his trade at home.
