Fosters Finally Gets There
Fosters Cross finally gained the win his talent deserved when on outing number ten he convincingly got off the mark in the N.I. Hospice Maiden Hurdle. Davy Russell's mount beat Osborn by nine lengths.
Tom Mullins' Dr Massini gelding posted a career best when over seven lengths behind Mikael D'Haguenet, in third place, in the Grade 2 Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at Punchestown 55 days ago and that effort saw him go off 4/5 favourite here.
Mullins said: "He is a horse that has always shown a lot at home. He has a lot of speed and Davy felt that on the good ground today he was able to show it. He'll probably go for a winners of one and he'll definitely go chasing next season." (EM)
