On this third outing over flights Isotope delivered as the 5/4 favourite in the Adare Manor Opportunity Maiden Hurdle at Wexford.
Ninth in the Kingdom Gold Cup at Killarney last time and a dual winner on the level, Isotope was always to the fore here under Oakley Brown.
The likes of Hammersmith and Dare To Flare tried their cases in the straight but Iostope ended up convincingly accounting for that pair by four and a half lengths and a length and a half.
Joseph O’Brien trains the successful four-year-old, bred by his mother Anne Marie, for the Best of the Rest Syndicate.
"It was very straightforward. Joey said keep it simple. There wasn’t much pace on so I brought him along in front,” reported Brown.
“I just kept a good hold of him. He kept going the whole way to the line and he has done it very well. He jumped well, it was an encouraging win and he is improving all the time.
"He was running well at Gowran when he unseated. He was probably going to finish second there but he could have won that day.”
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Isotope trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien was found to be lame on the right fore post race.
