The Aidan O'Brien-trained Exactly produced a powerful front-running performance to land the Killavullan Stakes in fine style at Leopardstown this afternoon.

Wayne Lordan was soon in front on the 11/10 favourite and asked his mount to quicken away from her four rivals over a furlong from home.

The Frankel filly soon settled matters and galloped on strongly in the closing stages to post a six-and-a-half length verdict over stablemate Antelope Canyon

It was a breakthrough at stakes level for the winner who had been third in Group 1 company on her last two outings.

Stable representative Chris Armstrong said:- “She's a queen of a filly, she turns up for every dance and she's been consistent all year.

“She obviously ran a fantastic race in the (Prix Marcel) Boussac last time. Wayne gave her a lovely ride, kept it simple, she quickened and class told in the end. Obviously she won her maiden around here.

“You'd love to have them all like her, she's so straightforward and tough and gets it done.

“She mightn't be finished for the year. If she came out of it well we could look at the mile race in France next weekend for her.

“It depends how she comes out of it but it is an option. We'll see where the rest of the team fit in after the weekend.

“She's fierce well and even looking at her going around the ring she still has her coat and she's holding her condition well. Mentally she's loving it and you'd love to have a stable full of ones like her.”

It was a treble on the card for O'Brien and Lordan, who had taken the opening two maidens with Minnie Hauk and Serious Contender
