After finishing a good second at Galway earlier this month, Dont Tell No One went one place better in the last at Killarney this evening, the Killarney Oaks Hotel Beginners Chase.

The John Kiely trained nine-year-old was returning from a year long absence at Ballybrit, and he went down by just a neck there to Tesseract.

As short as 2/1 last night, the son of Westerner opened at 11/4 on-course, before drifting out to a starting price of 7/2.

Settled behind the leaders by Andrew Lynch he was fourth with a circuit to race. He came with his challenge two out, and gained a narrow lead before the last, keeping on well under pressure on the run-in, going on to score by two and a quarter lengths.

The Roger McGrath trained Miss Eyecatcher (8s to 5s) finished a good second under David Mullins, while Major Destination (12/1) was four lengths back in third for Sean Flanagan and Noel Meade.

The Joseph O'Brien trained Oathkeeper was sent off the 6/4 favourite (4s last night) and he disappointingly pulled up after the third last.

Kiely, who trains the winner for Brian Glesson of RTE and ITV Racing, said afterwards: "Galway sharpened him up and he jumped better today. Hopefully he's a horse that can go further."
