Dolly Hall wins delayed Cork opener
The opening McCarthy Insurance Group Mares Handicap Hurdle at Cork today was run 20 minutes late as low temperatures meant alterations were needed to for racing to go ahead at the venue. The race itself was won by the Liam Burke trained Dolly Hall a sixth winner as a professional for 19 year old Robert Jones.
Jones produced the daughter of Saddles' Hall to lead from the second last flight, staying on well for a two length win over Kylebeg Krystle
Afterwards Burke reported “James gave her a very good ride and she deserved that win. She's a tough mare and the further she goes the better she is – we will probably go chasing with her next.”
