Supported at bigger prices in the morning, Prairie Dancer made virtually all and clung on for victory at odds of 12/1 in the Colm White Bookmaker November Handicap.
The useful dual-purpose performer had scooped another big pot in last year's Lartigue Hurdle at Listowel and kept going under Dylan Browne McMonagle to hold fast-finishing Stoke The Fire by a head.
Always prominent Flamborough was third with 3/1 favourite Filey Bay completing the frame in fourth.
Browne McMonagle was completing a double for trainer Joseph O'Brien after Dancing Tango s Listed success.
The young Donegal rider picked up a four-day ban for using his whip with excessive frequency plus another two days for weighing in 1.1lb overweight.
The winning rider said of the five-year-old who is owned by Sean Sweeney and Kieran O'Hare: "He's so consistent and loves getting to the front. He loves room, so I said I’m drawn wide so I’ll stay wide. If I went left straightaway they would have taken me on so when I was on my own it was easy to get across and make the running.
“I just kept filling him up and he found plenty up the straight. He’s really genuine and I’m delighted for the lads who really got a good kick out of it.”
