The David Marnane-trained Cracking Name lunged late to land the spoils in the second division of the Junction Handicap at Tipperary this afternoon. Burning Lake and Kudbegood did battle up front for most of the seven-furlong trip with the former edging ahead inside the final furlong.
He was trumped close home, however, as Oisin Orr got a good tune from the top-weight to secure a half-length victory. Havana Breeze had also stayed on to hold every chance close home and was just denied by a nose for second.
Remarkably it was the winners' fourth year in a row that she has posted her annual success at the track and Marnane said:-
"She is a good straightforward filly and had been running well on varying ground.
"She deserved to win. She is in tomorrow as third reserve so is unlikely to get a run so we'll probably aim for Listowel."
