The Kieran Cotter trained sprinter Dash D'or gained her third win in a month when landing the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk this evening.
The five year old daughter of Le Cadre Noir gained her first career success at Naas on October 2 and, having gained a second at Naas on October 24, added a third today under jockey Dylan Hogan when beating runner-up Lapilli by a length and three parts.
Cotter later said she's turned out to be a great filly for us.
“It was probably a year ago that she showed a couple of real smart pieces of work and we had high expectations for her.
“Our biggest problem with her was that we had to train her head as she just gets too excited.
“The first day here she flipped over with Niall McCullagh and we had a lot of work to do with her in the stalls.
“I have to say a big thank you to the lads down at the start as they've put a lot of work into her, keeping her calm, because if she's not settled she just doesn't run.
“She seems to be getting the hang of it now and we're looking forward to next year and maybe competing in some of the better handicaps.
“It's hard to throw her out in the field after that and if there is something else here she'll probably have another run.”
