Cote Tete stayed on strongly from the last to post a victory for Noel Meade and Gigginstown in the beginners' chase at Downpatrick.
The six-year-old gelding forged up the hill to win by eight and a half lengths at 9/1. Big Bad Brian who was a popular 5/1 chance, finished second. He was a length in front of Kilbrew Gold at 10/1.
Jockey Sean Flanagan said: "He was having a nice run in a maiden hurdle a while back at Fairyhouse on that type of ground and he tipped up at the second-last. He improved a lot for jumping a fence.
"He's really well related and he's just a little bit better over fences and handled the track an awful lot better than we thought. He's in good form and he has done it well."
