Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore completed a quick double at the Curragh as Continuous made a successful debut in the Join Racing TV For Just €12 A Month At Racingtv.com Now Irish EBF Maiden.
Twelve went to post in the seven-furlong event for newcomers and the 100/30 favourite made most of the running before staying on strongly in the closing stages. King Of Scotia travelled really well for most of the trip but couldn’t match the winner inside the final furlong finishing a-length-and-a-half away in second. The Franchise also made a pleasing start staying on a further length-and-a-quarter back in third.
O’Brien said, “Ryan was very happy with him and said he’s still a baby. He said before he got up on him that the Heart’s Cry horses that he knew in Japan all stay well so that’s why he made it.
“I think the mare went over to be covered by Deep Impact but then he had the accident so that’s how it came about. He’s the only Heart’s Cry that we have.
“He kept on really well and could go for the Beresford. That’s over a mile but he’s well capable of stepping up.”
