Cantlow got up close home to deny Your Busy in the McSweeney Arms Hotel Killarney National Handicap Chase.
The Enda Bolger trained eleven-year-old, who was last seen finishing second in the La Touche Cup at Punchestown, was sent off an 8/1 chance (from 9's) in the colours of JP McManus.
Settled towards rear by Mark Walsh (completing an 89/1 double, after earlier winning on Dressedtothenines , he was thirteenth with a circuit to race.
He was pushed along after four out, and was eighth as they turned into the straight for the final time.
He still had plenty to do on the approach to the last, but he came with his run between horses after that fence, staying on best on the run-in, getting up to score by half a length.
Your Busy (25/1), who won this race in 2014 and raced prominently throughout, looked set to score after the last, but he couldn't hold off the winner, and had to settle for second under Mark Enright for James Nash. Tulsa Jack (8/1) was a further length and three parts back in third under Phillip Enright for Noel Meade, while top-weight First Lieutenant was a length and a quarter back in fourth. Federici was sent off the 10/3 favourite and he finished fifth.
Enda Bolger said afterwards: "It was good to have a sub! (also trained Federici)
"He ran well behind Quantitiveeasing in the La Touche and they went so fast today, they cut each other's throats.
"Obviously Federici didn't get home with the gallop but Cantlow stayed on well and will have an entry in the Galway Plate now.
"We'll try and keep him in that frame of mind now and it's nice to get the win as I've been second in the last two years."
